Elmwood Park NJ, on the morning of Saturday, November 23, an Elmwood Park Police patrol vehicle was involved in a minor collision while responding to a reported crash at the intersection of Broadway and East 54th Street in Elmwood Park.
As the marked patrol car made its way to the initial scene, it was struck in a separate, injury-free collision at Broadway and 17th Street in neighboring Fair Lawn.
Details of the Incidents
The first crash, involving a white Hyundai sedan, occurred in Fair Lawn, contrary to initial reports suggesting it happened in Elmwood Park. The Hyundai was the only vehicle requiring towing, while all other vehicles from both incidents were able to drive away.
Fair Lawn Police investigated the initial crash, while a Bergen County Sheriff’s officer handled the collision involving the Elmwood Park patrol vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either crash.
