Ridgewood NJ, according to Internet posted news articles, a NJ based archeologist (Peter Primavera, Jr.) being considered by the Village Council to consult them on matters related to the historic status designation of the Schedler house & property has an extensive arrest record.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty, of course. But the question still remains; did the individual who suggested that Mr. Primavera might be a good fit for the Village know about the previous accusations of perjury, and his extensive arrest record? And if so, was that information revealed to whomever the suggestion was made?
Frankly, based on the news reports of Mr. Primavera’s past troubles with the courts/law, it is The Ridgewood Blog’s considered opinion that he just isn’t a good fit for Ridgewood.

His website(s) have no substantial info whatsoever and are a blatant smoke and mirrors con game that links to other websites that are just as much a sham. How can no one have seen this? A PHD (DNF)???? And I do love the pictures of experts, one of whom is Frank Lloyd Wright and another some statue, and yes a smiling cartoon.

This is unacceptable and an investigation must be conducted immediately to uncover how they arrived at this person. First, they posted in a public notice that this person was an attorney and then it was announced that he is a consultant. This is outrageous that you can plan to furlough hard working innocent people and yet hire someone who has an arrest record. If this wasn’t a true story, I would think it was a Netflix movie of the week.

Didn’t we tell you more and more is coming, we told you the village is in the toilet now it’s starting to go down the drain. It’s just a matter of time that the state regulators is going to come in and take over managing the village village is bankrupt, so the government will step in and take things over. It’s just a matter of time. How can you keep on spending money that you don’t have. Just because you have a very good bond rating doesn’t mean you can make poor financial decisions. Some people have excellent credit doesn’t mean they go out and go buy a Rolls-Royce. They think about it and they make a smart decision and they going by the Buick. Do you realize that the village has so many other important things to worry about then fake ballfields. Look at the village owned buildings take a ride down to the Pollution Implant, or the water department, building in midlandpark, and then go to the central garage all these buildings are from the 20s they are shot. It’s time to merge with BERGEN County. It’s a no-brainer thank you the one that knows.

Just like we need to hold our politicians to a higher standard as they are governing officials sworn to protect our Village, vote on important matters that concern all of the citizens living in the Village and represent everyone, anyone who is hired by them as a consultant should properly vetted prior to any announcements being made that they will hire him…In this case, where there are acts of improper conduct, lying, potential theft, we need to ensure that this person DOES NOT work for the Village. Where there is smoke, there is fire and this is a flaming dumpster! Mayor Paul said that he is satisfied when not everyone walks away from the table getting what they want, but in the case of the Schedler property, almost the whole council, sworn in to advocate on EVERYONE’s behalf to reach a compromise, is only catering to the sporting crowd as they are the ONLY people who will get what they want if they vote to have a regulation sized field with artificial turf, lights, and anything else that is in line with a sports complex. It was mentioned that this VC is obsessed with this project and I agree 100% and it is really a shame that they will ruin what was a beautiful historical property to build something that is not suited to serve all. You can frame it any which way you like and everyone knows the what is really happening.
This bum is the perfect choice. He will have no problem lying for Vag and company. If you want a dishonest opinion rendered on this site as it relates to its historic status, hire a criminal liar. He will fit right in with the four liars on the council.

The proper action for the council to take, Uninvite this man, he should NOT be allowed to act as a so called consultant for the Village of Ridgewood.
I have never seen such a bunch of incompetent llying sneaks in my life and im not talking about tge consultant. But hed be in great company with these posers. They’ve had their agenda buried in BS and there have probably been lots of lottle coffee chat discussion with the sports crowd and the deal was likely sealed a long time ago and then they figured they’d gaslight everyone into believing this is the best solution for everyone. I have never witnessed such a selfish bunch of elitist snobs who think they are doing the right thin while absolutely destroying land tgat woukd be better served as a quiet park with a small grass fiekd as was agreed in the approved plan. This Primavera guy has no credentials – none! His website indicates:

Notice that he doesn’t mention that he GRADUATED FROM that PhD program?!? What this probably means is that he was accepted and washed out. Effectively, he has only a bachelor’s degree in a rather FLIMSY subject area. Oh, and that Harvard thing is easily purchased. He didn’t attend Harvard COLLEGE. He has about as much right to opine on preservation as I do (someone with an engineering degree). Just sayin’…
