‘Fact finder’s’ recommendation more of the same for Ridgewood Schools

REA Members come out to greet our Board of Ed

June 28,2016

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, One had to read a summary of the ‘Fact finder’s’ recommendation (link below) to figure out how utterly insane it is!

• Salary increases of:
• 2.2% for July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 (retroactive)
• 2.8% for July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017
• 2.8% for July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018
• No change in the current healthcare insurance plan.
• No change in employee contributions to healthcare insurance premiums.
• The highest paid teachers and secretaries receive additional payments.

RETROACTIVE salary increases? NO change in health insurance Cadillac plan? I definitely want some of whatever the teachers are ingesting.

  1. BOE just say NO loud and clear the taxpayer in the village is not seeing an increase in salary, why should teachers.

  2. These three should be just not acceptable to BoE and Ridgewood Tax payers:

    • No change in the current healthcare insurance plan.
    • No change in employee contributions to healthcare insurance premiums.
    • The highest paid teachers and secretaries receive additional payments.

  3. There is not a lot of resident support for the teachers. Few have lawn signs and only a handful go to the meetings.

Residents like the teachers but they are not behind the salary and ealthcare improvements.

    Teachers pay attention.

  4. Dear teachers, just settle. Do it for the kids.

  5. Absolutely insane … Teahcers: See 7:32’s and get ion with it or move on.
