Glen Rock NJ, a 26-year-old man from Fair Lawn has been charged with criminal sexual contact following an incident at Rock Farmer’s Market in Glen Rock. The incident occurred on the night of Saturday, August 17, when a 46-year-old woman from North Haledon reported being groped while shopping.
According to Glen Rock police, the woman stated that a strange man began following her closely in the store. The man then allegedly rubbed his hand across her thigh and buttock, intentionally. The woman, who did not know the man, reported that he fled the store immediately after the incident.
Sgt. Robert Wojtecki of the Glen Rock Police Department obtained video footage from the store, which allowed detectives to identify the suspect. The man was subsequently arrested, processed at Glen Rock police headquarters, and released on his own recognizance in accordance with New Jersey’s bail reform laws.
The suspect is now awaiting an appearance at Central Judicial Processing in Hackensack.
