Fairfield NJ, a tragic shooting at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel on Two Bridges Road in Fairfield on Friday has claimed the life of 28-year-old Mohammad Sahariar. Sahariar, a Fairfield resident, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident.
Authorities responded to a 911 call reporting trouble at the hotel, located at 38 Two Bridges Road, also known as County Road 613, just after noon. Upon arrival, Fairfield police discovered two men with apparent gunshot wounds. Sahariar was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m. The second victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to a local hospital and remains in treatment.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Fairfield Police working together. No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Prosecutor’s Tips Line at 1-877-847-7432.
