Ridgewood NJ, FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM EDT THIS MORNING.
Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following counties, in northeast New Jersey, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Queens and Richmond (Staten Island).
Until 1015 AM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 714 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 0.75 inch of rain has fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to near 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
