Ridgewood NJ, The Ridgewood News has thus far refused to correct its misleading December 4, 2020 front page article which claimed that former Ridgewood mayor Paul Aronsohn and former Ridgewood Village Manager Roberta Sonenfeld were “cleared” of all ethics code violations by an administrative law judge. Both had been found guilty in late 2017 of using taxpayer funds to further their own personal agendas with respect to a referendum vote on a proposed municipal parking garage.
As reported last week by The Ridgewood Blog, the ethics violations and associated fines imposed against Mr. Aronsohn and Ms. Sonenfeld by the State’s Local Finance Board remain in effect. An administrative law judge did recommend that the two former Ridgewood officials be cleared, but the Local Finance Board, which has final say so in the matter, did not accept the judge’s recommendation (as of the Local Finance Board’s most recent meeting, held on April 14, 2021).
So, for now Paul and Roberta remain guilty as charged, and The Ridgewood News article is still FAKE!
Of course the newspaper is not printing anything. Aronsohn is known to contact them to have letters to the editor pulled before they go to print. And to alter stories to favor him. He has some sort of pull with that paper

Any newspaper that relies upon Jeff Voigt for editorial commentary isn’t worth the cost of the paper it’s printed on.
Neither the editor’s name nor phone number are printed anywhere in the paper. So, readers don’t even know who is responsible for that piece of sh@t. What a joke!
It’s amazing isn’t it, if they are still living in town they should move out. Ridgewood is a mess. Let’s see what the mayor and council is going to do with the other two department heads. Dirty crew.

I wouldn’t be surprised at any paper including and especially the Bergen Record taking the side of some politician they have a relationship with or maligning those with whom they don’t. Real journalism and reporting are dead. Everything is more about feelings than facts. Face it, we are totally scr*wed on every front, high taxes, more taxes, more regulations, businesses and jobs that were killed, bigger corporations and entities taking where the lost businesses had a following…all of this is crushing people. The people that are so involved in making a living or struggling to make ends meet can’t even fight the Mayor and town council machines. It’s not judge Ridgewood, it’s many towns, certainly the county government and the state.

The bias has reached embarrassing levels. There was a 2-day total coverage of Trump when he wobbled slightly descending some stairs. Meanwhile, senile Joe completely falls down AF1 steps 3 times. The guy is signing whatever Pelosi and the crew put in front of him. The guy is probably being told he’s signing off on the days lunch order.
Yes we seen that story about them one regarding Yard waste and leave season. So your taxes are staying the same and you’re getting less service is just great. Talking about getting screwed.
