Fort Lee NJ, each year the County of Bergen is proud to recognize the Regional Champion of the North Jersey Spelling Bee, hosted by the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
Sixty-five students from across Bergen County participated last month at the regional competition at Bergen Community College. This year’s champion is Olivia Rhee, a student at Lewis F. Cole Middle School in Fort Lee. Her winning word was ‘natatorium,’ which is a pool, especially one that is indoors.
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco said ,”Congratulations, Olivia! Good luck at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. next month, Bergen County is proud of you!”
