Ridgewood NJ, Due to two recent separate positive COVID-19 cases of unknown origin, George Washington Middle School will transition to all remote learning tomorrow, Friday, December 11, 2020. In-person instruction will resume on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Please make sure that George Washington Middle School students do not participate in out of school activities during this time of remote learning.

After a careful review, the district in coordination with the Ridgewood Health Officer was not able to identify a clear connection or origin of infection between the two cases. 1. If it’s of unknown origin, why are they penalizing school and students?

  2. “Why are they penalizing students”? Are you an idiot? I am sure everybody would love to have the schools open, but it is time to shut them down until January.

  3. Parents need to tell the truth at contact tracing interviews and it obvious they are not. Gorman needs to clamp down and if he wants to keep the schools open, he must mandate all be tested on a regular basis at BCCC or another location. Someone mentioned recently that BCCC has many dates available for testing in December and it is only a 2 or 3 minute drive from the BOE offices on Cottage Place. Please do something other than putting out daily letters

  6. I give the administration and the board top marks and a A+ for effort in trying to keep the schools open.

With that said, it is time to go all remote until the vaccine is more readily available.

  8. Everyone should be tested that works in the schools. Second everyone should be tested and works in the medical field. Third extremely important anyone that works around any kind of food should be tested immediately. We have plenty food establishments right here in Ridgewood that they are dirty. If you ever took a look at some of these kitchens they’re filthy. Not all , But some. And they know they are.
