Glen Rock Police Apprehend Serial Shoplifter

Glen Rock NJ, on Tuesday march 3rd  at 4:39 p.m. Glen Rock Patrols were dispatched to Bottle King Liquors on the 900 block of Prospect Street on a reported shoplifting in progress. The female subject had fled to store, however, based upon the description provided by store personnel, P.O. Sarah Orsita apprehended the subject on Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn. The woman was found to be in possession of two stolen bottles of Johnnie Walker, valued at $128.

Through investigation, Det. Lucas Doney determined that the same woman had committed two prior shopliftings reported by Bottle King on February 6th and 8th, 2021. During those incidents, a total of $350 worth of alcohol had been stolen.

The subject, a 35-year-old Fair Lawn woman, was transported to Police Head Quarters where she was processed and charged with three counts of shoplifting. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending an appearance before Central Judicial Processing at the Superior Court in Hackensack scheduled for March 19th.
