Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police were dispatched to the Boro Hall NJT Rail Station near Harding Plaza after reports of a man attempting to jump in front of a train.

Three Glen Rock officers found the 44-year-old, Hoboken man who was “crying and pacing back and forth stating he wanted to kill himself,” police reported . The man told officers he wanted to jump, but didn’t want the kids in a nearby area to see him.

Officers calmly spoke with the man for about 20 minutes, and were eventually able to talk him down and  “de-escalate the tense situation” . According to the Glen Rock Police , they then convinced him to “seek psychiatric assistance,” and the man was transported to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus.
