Glen Rock NJ, a Glen Rock resident recently reported a strange encounter involving a mysterious woman taking photos of their home and peering through windows. Now, local police are asking if others have experienced similar activity.
On Friday, August 30, around 5:13 p.m., a resident of Dunham Place received multiple Ring camera alerts between 2:50 and 3:20 p.m. Upon reviewing the footage, they saw a dark-skinned woman dressed in all-black, walking around their property with a long pole and a measuring wheel. The individual took photos, looked into windows, and even used a smartphone on the end of a pole to capture images of the second story, police said.
The homeowner stated they were not expecting anyone at the residence for an estimate or survey, prompting them to notify the police. Upon investigation, officers discovered nearby construction but confirmed that no one should have been on the private property.
A witness also saw a woman fitting the description driving a dark green SUV. Though they managed to obtain a license plate number, it did not match the vehicle. The Detective Bureau is now investigating.
