Trenton NJ,One of the primary roles of a Congressman or Congresswoman is to fight for their constituents to ensure they receive federal funds and the benefits they deserve. Josh Gottheimer continues to fail his district in our hour of need.

Why is Josh ignoring the 5th District and the best interests of the people he was elected to serve?

Senator Steve Oroho and Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths (all R-24) called on New Jersey’s congressional delegation to investigate and explain why some counties, including Sussex and Warren, were left out of the first batch of federal grants delivered to New Jersey following the passage of a $2 trillion stimulus package.

“Our families and businesses in Sussex and Warren counties are suffering just as much as anyone in New Jersey,” the legislators said in a joint statement. “It’s very concerning, and frankly unacceptable, that the communities we represent were overlooked in the first round of federal funding. We urge New Jersey’s congressional delegation to find out why we were left out and ensure that our constituents’ needs are being treated equally.”

According to a press release from United States Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker, 17 of New Jersey’s 21 counties, along with a number of individual municipalities within those counties, received awards through federal programs.
