Paramus NJ, last week, the Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) non-profit organization, the REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF), made a significant impact at the 2024 Dining Out Jersey Foodie Expo hosted by Paul Turpanjian ,held at The Terrace at Biagio’s. The event was an evening of gourmet food and elevated drinks, showcasing the culinary talents of chefs, mixologists, and restaurant owners from the best establishments in northern New Jersey.

The REALTORS® Care Foundation used this vibrant event to highlight their mission, demonstrating that REALTORS® are more than just real estate professionals—they are active community supporters. Through a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle, the foundation raised awareness and funds to support various local initiatives.

Since its inception in 2015, the RCF has awarded over $1.4 million in grants to more than 71 local non-profit organizations. These grants have provided essential services such as food, clothing, shelter, education, and more to individuals, families, and children in need.

Linda Barba, a Trustee of the REALTORS® Care Foundation and member of Dining Out Jersey, emphasized the importance of collaboration and community outreach. “I love being a REALTOR® because I am involved in my community in more ways than just selling homes. I have always had a love for restaurants, for the community, and for people. Dining Out is a big part of my life, and it is the only dedicated dining guide in New Jersey. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I wanted to make sure that local restaurants were able to stay on their feet, so I collaborated with a medical IT company to facilitate restaurants bringing food to our first responders,” she shared.

Barba also highlighted her goals as an RCF Trustee. “My goal as an RCF Trustee is to bring awareness to the public about REALTORS® and gain recognition for the impactful work we do in the community. The RCF not only provides grants to local non-profit organizations to support their work, but we also provide high school scholarships to graduating seniors across Northern New Jersey, supporting their futures.”

She added, “Great communities that support small businesses, local restaurants, and non-profit organizations make great neighborhoods. REALTORS® play a huge role in helping neighborhoods succeed, bringing more people into communities where they can have better lives. The RCF’s participation in Dining Out Jersey Foodie Expo was an opportunity to remind our community that REALTORS® give back in so many ways.”

  1. I don’t recognize any of these gals.

  2. I think they’ve all had enough food.
