Hackensack NJ, on Tuesday morning around 9:00 AM, emergency crews were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident on Route 80 Eastbound, just before Exit 66. City of Hackensack Units from Deputy 4, Engine 1, Engine 2, and Rescue 1 responded swiftly to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a three-vehicle collision with two individuals reportedly injured. Firefighters worked closely with HUMC Basic Life Support (BLS) personnel to assist in packaging the patients for transport to Hackensack Medical Center for further treatment.
In addition to aiding the injured, firefighters applied absorbent materials to manage minor fluid leaks from the damaged vehicles. The team remained on site until the vehicles involved were safely removed by towing services.
New Jersey State Police are actively investigating the cause of the accident.
