Hackensack NJ, In order to protect our patients, our team members and the communities we serve, effective immediately, the following visitor restrictions are in place at all Hackensack Meridian Health Hospitals, nursing and rehabilitation facilities:
- All visitors, team members and vendors entering this facility will undergo a COVID-19 screening. Anyone who fails the screening will not be allowed entry.
- Visitation to patients is limited to two visitors at one time.

Hackensack Meridian Health is engaged in emergency management practices and is prepared to manage confirmed cases of COVID-19. We are screening patients in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and our dedicated health care providers are taking every precaution in isolating any patient who has tested positive for the disease. We are working with the New Jersey Department of Health in accordance with CDC protocols regarding the use of dedicated equipment and appropriate personal protective equipment, and we are limiting visitor contact for those patients who have tested positive.
The safety of our staff, patients and community is our utmost priority.
Good for HUMC. A smart move.
Way too many visitors going to the hospital these days. They go there & they think it’s a party. People are sick at these locations we don’t need to spread more germs.
Good safety measures; glad to hear this is being implemented.
Are they being screened for the significantly more deadly Influenza virus?
.
I thought not…
…just another feel good overreaction (and also a CYA for the hospital)
.
People need to stay home if they are not feeling well.
They need to go see the doctor.
