Harrington Park NJ, just after 5am this morning, the Harrington Park Volunteer Fire Department Battalion 2 North Box Alarm was activated for a reported house fire in the Borough. Units arrived on scene to find a fully involved house fire and a second alarm was struck. 24 Ladder was first due and immediately went to work with an aggressive exterior attack of the fire. The fire was placed under control an hour and a half later ,around 6:30am.
The Maryann Lane home was totally destroyed by the blaze. The two-story single family home was undergoing renovations, so no one was home at the time. The fire was called in by a neighbor, who woke to find the house already engulfed in flames around 5 a.m., said Harrington Park Fire Chief Jesse Barragato.
