Hasbrouck Hts NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of NORMAN DOBRES (DOB: 05/04/1964; married; and employed as a laborer) of 60A Hoehn Street, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Hasbrouck Height Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Colaneri.
On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received a report from the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department that Norman DOBRES had sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen on more than one occasion.
As the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department, Norman DOBRES was arrested on Friday, May 17, 2019 in Paramus and charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 14-2A(1), crimes of the 1st degree; two counts of Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2B, crimes of the 2nd degree; and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4A(1), a crime of the 3rd degree. DOBRES was transported to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9:00 AM.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
