Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, Ho-Ho-Kus Mayor Randall, Councilmen Crossley and Policastro greeted fishermen at Ho-Ho-Kus’ East park on opening day of New Jersey’s trout fishing season.
The season began at 8 am on Saturday April 9th and will run through May 31. Three weeks ago, the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife began stocking NJ waters with rainbow trout raised at the Pequest Trout Hatchery in Warren County and will regularly stock waters through May.
The fair weather brought a big turnout for this annual Spring tradition that is a great way to spend quality time outdoors while enjoying some excellent fishing.
When fishing in New Jersey, anyone who is 16 or older needs to have a valid fishing license to fish in the fresh waters in the state.
Enjoying some Rocky Mountain water.
