Washington DC , according to one recent public poll, a majority of those sampled believe the government may be covering up the truth about UFOs. Now the The House Oversight Committee will hold a hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena, often called “UAPs” or “UFOs,”

Debates over potential sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena, have garnered increased attention in recent years, particularly on Capitol Hill.

The drumbeat that the U.S. government is ready to spill the beans on possible alien guests to Earth is louder than ever. But whether it’s next week, next year or next decade, what are the social consequences of first contact? Or, at least some outing of historical records documenting evidence of visitors from afar? Are we ready for such a revelation? There appears to be debate on what the ripple effects might be.

While UFOs are often synonymous with aliens in popular culture, an initial Pentagon report issued in 2021 found no evidence linking the unidentified objects to extraterrestrial life. The Defense Department has received at least 366 new reports of UFOs since March 2021, and about half of them appear to be balloons or drones, according to a 2022 report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

About half of the new cases could not be explained and “appear to have demonstrated unusual flight characteristics or performance capabilities, and require further analysis,” the initial Pentagon assessment found.

A classified version of the report was submitted to lawmakers, as mandated by a defense spending bill passed by the last Congress.

In 2019 a retired Air Force major claims that an extraterrestrial was once shot and killed at New Jersey’s McGuire Air Force Base back in the late 1970s.

George Filer is the subject of a  book authored by John Guerra titled, “Strange Craft: The True Story of An Air Force Intelligence Officer’s Life with UFOs.” The book chronicles Filer’s years spent tracking and reporting UFO’s for the military in his role as an intelligence officer.
Filer says that the alien was killed one night back in February of 1978. “So, I called the wing command post and they confirmed it. I called the security police command post, they confirmed it…The medical team was out there to see if they could save the life of the alien but he apparently was, you know, actually dead,” Filer says.
Filer is the Eastern Regional Director  of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), a nonprofit UFO research organization. People who witness unexplained objects in the sky can upload pictures and videos of what they see directly to the group’s website.

  1. Evidence is mounting against President Biden and indictment of Trump is falling flat. This is desperate attempt to distract.

    1. With a majority of members in the House, committees are chaired and controlled by Republicans. ““I just want some transparency. I think everybody should be asking for that,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), the driving force behind the hearing”.

      1. Forever in retreat Republicans just follow the lead of Democrat controlled news media. Just a handful of exceptions.

      2. UFO’s are a major problem that make the more mundane problems pale in comparison.

    2. Delusional

  2. Let’s hope the committee finds out what planet came from.

    1. the planet Richwood

  3. Somethings definitely going on, it’s either a government, or governments, secret development. Way too many people around the world have seen some thing they all cannot be delusional, it’s a bullshit story.
