Trenton NJ, anti-mask protesters or “knuckleheads” as the Governor likes to call NJ citizens followed him most of the day on Saturday . The loud and large crowds even converged just outside Governor Murphy’s home . The latest round of protests were spurred on by Governor Murphy’s announced that all students, educators, staff, and visitors will be required to wear face masks indoors for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The Governor signed Executive Order (EO) 251, which will mandate masking in the indoor premises of all public, private, and parochial preschool, elementary, and secondary school buildings, with limited exceptions. The EO is effective on Monday, August 9, 2021.
Jack Ciattarelli, Republican candidate for New Jersey Governor, released the following statement ahead of Phil Murphy’s announcement of a mask mandate for New Jersey’s public school students:
“Governor Phil Murphy has done it again. His decision to require masks for K-12 students is a bewildering reversal of his position of just a few weeks ago. Let me be clear, I oppose Governor Murphy’s mask mandate for students. The science is clear: nearly all children who contract COVID-19 are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic and wearing masks for children is terrible for their social and emotional development. Bottom line, whether a child wears a mask should be decided by parents, not government. If someone wants to have their child wear a mask, they should feel free to do so, but it’s not something that should be forced on children, nor should their learning be inhibited in any way. Finally, this feels like the first step towards another Murphy lockdown, which is something our children, businesses, and taxpayers cannot afford or are willing to accept.”

Here is my opinion the governor and the political people of every state including the government in Washington instead of opening up when they did should’ve let slower gave the people more opportunity to go back and make money but we rushed through it now we have a major problem on our hands again and now you want the kids to go back to school and we’re madk again and you Mr. Jack running for governor you’ve got a lot of nerve saying that we should leave this up to the parents when in the hell did you political idiots ever leave anything up to the parents that’s one thing you said was right leave it up to the parents they are their kids they’re not your kids we need a governing body not a bunch of government idiots I’m a bus driver for a school district every day the kids got on my bus for a half a day of in school learning got back on the bus at the end of day and said this sucks we want to go back to school all day leave it alone you won’t vote you want to become the new governor Jack leave it alone and you Mr. Murphy you’re a fucking lost excuse me I would like my words but your lost and the governor in Florida that man is first class idiot number one
All this over mask wearing. We’re old and want to be out and about. We now wear our masks in public places again. We will get our booster shot and hopefully we won’t get sick enough to go to the hospital and our younger family members who aren’t vaccinated can feel safe around us. I wish people were as upset with our air and water quality.
Where is the governors getting their information from, are they getting info from science, doctors, or politicians in Washington who should we believe. Of course we all want to be careful no one wants to get sick. But now everybody’s backpedaling what are we do.
