HUMC at Pascack Valley holds Medevac helicopter program for first responders

Area emergency services personnel attended a program on Aug. 8 at HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley to show them how to handle emergencies that require the response of the hospital’s Medevac helicopter, AirMed One.

More than 70 first responders, including police officers, firefighters and EMTs, turned up for the training session that included a landing of the helicopter Wednesday afternoon at the hospital on Old Hook Road, according to Lisa Iachetti, who serves as director of the hospital’s Air Medical Program.
