Ridgewood NJ, Republican pollster Frank Luntz told Fox News’ Bret Baier , that his “profession is done” if President Trump wins re-election come Nov. 3, and proves the national polls wrong yet again.
“I hate to acknowledge it, because that’s my industry — at least partially — but the public will have no faith. No confidence. Right now, the biggest issue is the trust deficit,” Luntz said in response to Baier asking how pollsters will fare if they are wrong in predicting the 2020 presidential election. “Pollsters did not do a good job in 2016. So, if Donald Trump surprises people, if Joe Biden had a 5- or 6-point lead, my profession is done.”
Its it that the pollsters are so inherently biased or are they fundamentally dishonest ? It is time to launch a federal investigation of the polling industry. Since 2000 the polls have been constantly wrong and generally worthless , its time to get some answers .

My fear of all Ridgewood elections moving to November is that Board of Education and Village Council will become partisan.
The polls overall were actually fairly accurate 4 years ago but did not get the distribution right as she did win the popular vote. This year they blew it for two easy reasons. Many Trump supporters don’t trust the MSM and pollsters. As a result the polls are historically wrong. Regardless of who wins the MSM has a serious integrity problem with a broad swath of the population.
I never thought much about the polling but after the fiasco four years ago I stopped reading about them at all. If it’s just an imaginary crystal ball, I can do that at home.
The OVOV love control and supressing votes. They had a great ground game and won big. Wonder how many of the Yes voters will be pissed with the skyrocketing school taxes.
The best thing you can do is not look at the polling at all, it’s never right, it paints in broad strokes. A federal investigation for something speculative based off a limited pool sounds like a waste of taxpayer money frankly….
It’s such a dirty business. The politicians are more dirty than the mafia. It’s always been. Just look at Ridgewood The politics in the Village of Ridgewood are the same way.
For those on the Left who say there’s no evidence of corruption, bullshit. There’s lying and cheating in many of the things in life, and that cheating is created by there being an incentive to cheat. It goes on in everything we do. The incentive to cheat in politics is enormous. The people with the ability to cheat are incentivized by the outcome affecting their livelihood. Cheating is almost impossible to factually detect, which is why there’s not really any evidence of it happening. Why do you think the Dems don’t want voter ID? Crap, I need ID to borrow a library book, drive a car, and buy a beer. What happened in Wisconsin is a disgrace. This official walks in with a police escort and inserts a USB drive into the computer and voilla, a Trump lead is suddenly replaced by a Biden lead. No wonder the world laughs at us.
