Coalition to Restore Democracy: Grassroots and community leaders to launch efforts to tackle corruption in New Jersey politics at Chamber Train
Ridgewood NJ, On Thursday, February 28, at 11am in Newark, community leaders and activists, many of which played integral roles in the 2018 midterm victories and defeated state Democrats’ efforts to gerrymander legislative districts, will join together to launch a coalition focused on tackling and transforming New Jersey’s pay-to-play system of governing.
They will convene together at Newark Penn Station in the morning as passengers board the Chamber Train for the Walk to Washington, one of NJ’s premier private political events of the year, attended by elected officials and political insiders.
Coming off the heels of news that dozens of New Jersey’s political insiders held an exclusive “Boys Club” in Puerto Rico, the complete lack of surprise in the media and amongst the public speaks to the urgency of the actions to be taken by this Coalition. These grassroots activists and organizers see this example as another undemocratic way in which New Jersey lawmakers legislate and deal-make behind closed doors.
The groups will detail ways to improve the electoral, legislative and political system so as to prioritize the interest and voices of citizens over self-dealing and undue influence in order to stem the systemic corruption hampering New Jersey’s growth and to allow New Jersey to function as a true and productive democracy.

This is actually hysterical. See the pictures of the JOLT leadership with the mos corrupt NJ politician – Bob the Medicare Cheat Menendez. You cant make this stuff up.
Will their walk reduce the tax burden on NJ residents like myself who didn’t get a tax refund this year because my property taxes were more than $10,000? Got no refund, but if I park in town, which I won’t, it is to the tune of 75 cents an hour, got no refund, but if school budget passes, got to put out more in property taxes. Time to move out.
Jolt Ridgewood is an far left fringe group who just want to see Democrats in office. How sad for our democracy.
