Ridgewood NJ, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon voiced concerns about government inefficiency on Monday, as the Trump administration moves to terminate thousands of federal employees and restructure agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
Dimon on Government Reform
During an interview with CNBC’s Leslie Picker, Dimon refrained from taking a “binary” stance on Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) but emphasized the need for government reform.
“The government is inefficient, not very competent, and needs a lot of work,” Dimon stated. “It’s not just waste and fraud, it’s outcomes.”
Support for Federal Spending Overhaul
Dimon backed the administration’s focus on cutting costs and restructuring federal agencies, questioning whether taxpayer dollars were being spent effectively.
“Why are we spending the money on these things? Are we getting what we deserve? What should we change?” he asked. “It’s not just about the deficit, it’s about building the right policies and procedures and the government we deserve.”
While supporting the initiative, Dimon acknowledged potential legal challenges, stating that if DOGE overreaches or operates unlawfully, the courts will intervene.
“I’m hoping it’s quite successful,” he added.
Dimon on Business, Economy, and Policy
In the wide-ranging interview, Dimon also shared his stance on:
✅ Return-to-office policies: Advocating for most employees to work in-office five days a week
✅ Global conflicts: Addressing the Ukraine conflict and economic implications
✅ Tariffs & trade: Offering insights on U.S. economic policy and consumer trends
As the government undergoes significant structural changes, Dimon’s comments highlight the ongoing debate on efficiency, accountability, and economic impact.

The Village Of Ridgewood should be ashamed of themselves, ask yourself. OK if there ran so efficient how much money do they have in reserve they could have millions on the top of millions no excuse.
