Closter NJ, A fierce debate over New Jersey’s election security has escalated as state lawmakers call for a full-scale investigation into how non-citizens were registered on state voter rolls.

In a recent statement, Assemblyman Robert Auth criticized current and former state leadership following official disclosures revealing that thousands of ineligible individuals were added to registration lists.

Thousands Registered, Hundreds of Ballots Cast

According to figures referenced from the governor’s office, approximately 6,600 non-citizens were improperly registered to vote in New Jersey, with reports indicating that over 400 ballots have already been cast.

Assemblyman Auth warned that these initial figures may only scratch the surface:

“Don’t let those numbers fool you, this is just the beginning,” Auth stated. “Voting is the foundation of our entire republic, and ignoring a crack in the foundation always leads to a structural collapse if you don’t fix it immediately.”

“Root Out the Rot”: Republican Lawmakers Demand Accountability

Highlighting national concerns over voter integrity, Auth cited Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, emphasizing that “ensuring that U.S. citizens’ votes are not illegally diluted by noncitizens’ votes is of paramount importance.”

Auth pledged that his office and fellow Republican colleagues will pursue a thorough inquiry into state oversight procedures to ensure vulnerabilities in the registration system are fixed permanently.

Call to Action for New Jersey Residents

Auth is urging concerned citizens to directly contact state officials overseeing election administration. Pointing to Lieutenant Governor Dr. Dale Caldwell, who oversees the protection of the state’s election infrastructure, Auth encouraged voters to make their voices heard.

  • Office Contact: Lieutenant Governor Dr. Dale Caldwell

  • Direct Line: 609-777-2581

  • Action: Demand transparency and immediate steps to safeguard New Jersey’s election system.
