Ridgewood NJ, Thinking of going to the beach this summer , meet the newest member of the New Jersey shore community , no its not Snooki 2, her name is Mary Lee, and she is 3,456 pound great white shark .
Mary Lee was originally tagged off of the coast of Cape May back in 2012. Well this summer Mary Lee is back and the great white’s tracker was recorded around 8am only 10 miles off of Wildwood. Then at 1:04 p.m., Mary Lee pinged again about 12 miles off the coast a little further north, right on the border of Avalon and Sea Isle City. These creatures are out there all the time. Humans are shitty eating and they know it. The smaller aggressive breeds: mako, blues and bulls are the ones you need to worry about.
I’ve been going in the ocean all my life, and will continue to do so. You’re more likely to get killed by a drunk driving home from the19th hole than by a shark.
More people are killed by pigs each year than sharks. And those that are killed by sharks, are mostly killed by the breeds that 9.18pm has listed.
