“Late Night Thursdays!” in Ridgewood are Back
the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, according to Tony Damiano of the Ridgewood Guild the Ridgewood Guild’s “Late Night Thursdays!” are back . Damiano says that ,”So far, 23 retailers will be offering discounts and incentives to shop during the 4 Thursdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Savings up to 40% Off!Enter to Win gift cards up to $100.00 and much more!”
The Ridgewood Village Council voted unanimously, “yes.” to free parking on Thursday nights from 4-8pm .
Damino continues ,” So get ready to shop Ridgewood again, parking free of charge. Let’s all support our downtown businesses and make this Holiday Season better than ever! Happy Holidays from The Ridgewood Guild, now with 425 members making us the largest organization in Ridgewood!”
Ridgewood’s ineptitude around parking is laughable. Remember the argument over building the garage? Aronsohn and co committed ethics violations and literally tackled people to keep them from signing a petition against building it. Now we have it and it’s completely empty 90% of the time. Then there was the guy who walked out of Village Hall with all of the parking meter quarters every day for 2 years (right past the Police Dept). Then all of the parking enforcement officers quit at the same time. Now a software company makes more on parking revenue than the Village. We may as well make parking free all the time and just move on. SMH.
So very true, the village is one big joke. It’s so mismanaged from the top. Do you think it’s bad now? Wait until Valley moves to Paramus. All the business they generate locally will go to Paramus. They just keep on making poor decisions one after the other. It’s just amazing.
Agree. The garage is a major cluster fail!! And it is ugly . It is also wrong to have to pay for parking just going to Church. So sad what our village has become.

The garage that everyone wanted but nobody wants to pay for. Why are Saturday nights free?

Parking used to always be free after 5 or 6 PM. Now it’s supposed to be a big deal. Give me a break. I haven’t shopped downtown in 15 years.

Parking is free on Sundays.
Valley’s move to Paramus should have happened years ago. They will not be missed.
Lets not forget that empty garage in close promixity to real estate benefiting from the parking owned by ‘friends’
