The incident that occurred on Saturday, October 14, involved a noise complaint that led to the discovery of an underage drinking party in the 200 block of Ottawa Avenue. The Hasbrouck Heights Police officers found a large gathering of believed juveniles, where a bottle of alcohol was thrown from the crowd and struck a police officer through an open window of the police vehicle. Subsequently, legal actions were taken:
- Mr. Joshua Daniels was criminally charged with allowing underage alcohol consumption.
- Mrs. Cynthia Daniels was criminally charged with allowing underage alcohol consumption and making alcoholic beverages available to underage individuals.
- Mrs. Cynthia Daniels was also issued a borough ordinance summons for a noise violation.
Furthermore, the charges of Aggravated Assault against a Police Officer and Criminal Mischief are still pending as the investigation remains ongoing.
