Latest Round of Thunderstorms Downs a Lot of Trees in Paramus

Paramus NJ, after heavy thunder storms we often post photos of trees down in Ridgewood and Glen Rock but  Sunday nights storms seemed to hit Paramus exceptionally hard. Paramus Police and Fire Department were operating in the area of Roosevelt Blvd where numerous wires, trees and poles were taken down during a severe thunder storm this afternoon.  We also hear second had reports of some power outages . ​https://www.thelocaltreeexperts.com/ny/rochester/

Public Service Electric & Gas Co. has repeated that they are prepared for the thunderstorms and strong winds forecast for the service area .

“PSE&G works year round to provide reliable service and to prepare for these summer storms,” said Jack Bridges, PSE&G’s vice president for Electric Operations. “We have crews available to respond to any service interruptions that may occur and we encourage customers to contact us immediately should they experience an outage.”

“PSE&G is prepared to maintain safe, reliable service during the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the outbreak, we have adapted our storm and safety procedures to follow public health guidelines and industry best practices. We thank our customers for their patience as we operate under these unusual circumstances to safely restore power as quickly as possible”

  1. Orchard Hills golf course was closed yesterday due to the storm…not that I give a shirt about golf.

    Tree pruning and proactive removal of sick weak and poorly
    Grounded towns shade trees .

    They are often butchered by pseg wire
    Arbors including removal of older shade trees center crown leaders
