Wyckoff NJ, the mother of a former eighth grader at Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School in Wyckoff has filed a lawsuit against the district, alleging that her daughter’s privacy was violated when a pornographic image of her was circulated by fellow students. The incident, which occurred in March 2021, has prompted legal action against the school district and several key individuals.
The lawsuit, filed in state Superior Court, accuses the Wyckoff school district of failing to protect the student from harm and allowing the explicit image to be disseminated during a school board meeting held via Zoom. Named in the lawsuit are the Wyckoff Board of Education, Superintendent Kerry Postma, Assistant Superintendent Grace White, former Eisenhower Middle School Vice Principal Christopher Giordano, and Suzanne Dobson, a social worker and anti-bullying specialist in the district.
According to the complaint, the student, now 16 and residing out of state, was coerced by two male students into exposing herself during a FaceTime call, which was then screenshot and circulated among other students. Despite her father’s prompt notification to school authorities, the lawsuit alleges a delayed and inadequate response from district officials in addressing the incident.
The family contends that the subsequent investigation into the harassment, intimidation, and bullying was mishandled, with one of the students involved facing minimal consequences. Furthermore, the lawsuit accuses the district of exacerbating the victim’s trauma by mishandling the distribution of the explicit image and failing to ensure its proper disposal.
In addition to seeking compensatory, consequential, and punitive damages, the family is demanding accountability from the defendants and calling for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. The lawsuit underscores the profound impact of such incidents on the victim’s well-being and highlights the importance of schools in safeguarding students from harm.

Mom and Dad, accountability begins at home. How does someone “coerce” someone to do something over the phone? We’re not talking about dementia-riddled granny against crafty tech scammers. Were the two boys modern day Svengalis? Did they threaten to rip the head off her dolly if she didn’t comply? The thought of hanging up the phone simply never occurred to her, if she was being coerced? Must… raise… shirt… cannot… dis… obey… obey… Absurd.
The two Debbie thumb downers must be the parents of the two daughters who were smoking weed with a young male at the View yesterday around 6:30PM. Clearly no idea what your kids are up to.
I walk by there daily with my dog and after school hours and on weekends there are people of all ages smoking weed, the smell leaves no room for guessing. Some sit behind the wall so they can’t be seen from the street. Walking by on the sidewalk you can see them and smell exactly what they are doing.
I from this town where 2 of have gone to school here and now there are in high school. I know this school play favoritism. So I’m very happy there standing up for there daughter the past couple of years this school has no control of there students. And if the student parent is part of the PTO well sucks because those students will never be hold accountable. I believe also that this school race plays a big role. I’m truly not a fan of the middle. The guidance counselors there do nothing like i have said they pick and chose. My daughter was being bullied over her weight complain a number of times and they did nothing. So GOOOD happy someone finally sued them. sorry not sorry
