Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police Department has joined other Bergen Police Departments including Wyckoff with a post on their Facebook page ; “There’s no place for impairment on the road. Play it safe and plan a sober way home, even when walking or biking”.
So much for walking off the drink ?

  1. We need to paint part of the sidewalk green to have special lanes for them to walk in.
    .
    That will fix the problem.
    .

  2. Well at least they are walking they are not driving. What’s the problem now. My God. What would this police department do if they were working down in Hoboken, or New York City police stop really worry about homes being broken into. Not a few people walking around with a little Puzz on Please stop. This is total bullshit do you know how many business people are walking around Ridgewood every day the the c b d ,the restaurants are packed with people drinking right on the sidewalk are you fucking kidding me. this is total bullshit .

  3. What’s next the police are going to be standing outside a restaurant or a bar. And when they see someone a little tipsy they’re going to be arrested. Go park outside The women’s club every time they have any event and there is a little Booz being served. Wow Yeah OK A little bit touchy now. Hypocrites.

  4. Talk about fixing what is not broken! Has anyone been hurt by a tipsy walker? They made the right decision not to drive. Let them be unless you want to help them home acting in the roll of a good citizen.

  5. They should’ve been sitting outside village hall A few years ago.
    Oops !!!
    Right!

  6. Haha we love it.

  7. If they have time for this then we have too many cops on the force. What amazes me that we pay village of Ridgewood police decide on route 17 to patrol. That time we can utilize them on local roads. Let Bergen County and the state patrol route 17.
