Ridgewood NJ, it is being reported that the latest selfie video from Ridgewood Councilwoman Siobhan Winograd depicts her standing on Hillcrest Road in Ridgewood and reporting on turtles crossing the road.
Having been summarily rebuffed by the squirrel population of the Village’s central business district, it appears as though Ms. Winograd has branched out to other parts of Ridgewood seeking support from the animal population.
Good grief! Can she think of nothing else better to do?

Siobahn promised to deliver a giant field at Schedler billed as the solution to all of Ridgewood field issues. This was her platform and the plan all along was to get Weitz in and nominate Paul as mayor. Paul had already brought in the shady consultant thanks to Gail Price’s intro and they thought they were well on their way to getting their shovels in the ground. Without this field she is nothing along with Weitz and Vag.

I just heard that a few years back, the son of a prominent Ridgewood politician entered a Village owned motor vehicle unlawfully, took it on a joy ride, and crashed it. A Village owned building was damaged in the crash. Were any criminal charges filed, and were taxpayers reimbursed for resultant damages by the child’s family? Does anyone know? A big cover up took place at the time.
Was that the joy ride taken with the brand new Village owned mini covered snow plow (keys left in it) used for the Hudson St. parking garage, that boys crashed it and ran?

Actually I want to thank the blog immensely for once again highlighting that this is how a council person spends her time. With self serving selfies that are absolutely ridiculous. Then the rest of the time she is on Ridgewood Moms and Dads Facebook page as an Admin so that she can control the narrative that suits her purposes. She should not be using that or any other private page as a platform, it is just wrong and I question whether it is even ethical but yet she gets away with it. How about working on safety and things that really matter in Ridgewood instead of absolute nonsense it is not welcome and I worry about the mental stability of someone like this representing residents.

You know, most people talk about the village, and they ask what the hell happened. Well, we tell them over coffee they just lost their way. They lost so much experience, and replacing them with just bodies to fill the positions that have very little experience if not none, they have no business being in that position, they are there because they knew someone. And now it’s showing all around town. No training, no schooling, just the body to throw in what a shame oh well, and the poor taxpayers of the village of paying for all of this. Will the village ever be a leader again? I don’t know, it would take an extremely long time if that ever happens again. at the top management know this. They just can’t swallow it , and admit it.

I live on Hillcrest. She’s standing on the road on a bridge that goes over the brook. The turtles can walk on the shoulders of the brook without having to put a foot on the roadway.
We all know that turtles are slow…now we know that some of our council people are too!
I have an idea, lets take the new pavillion that the Parks & Rec department want to give to Healthbarn and turn it into a turtle sanctuary! This is a great idea! That way no one has to be concerned that Healthbarn will be taking over as sole proprietor like they have with the rest of the property. Win/win.

Of all the things going on in Ridgewood, turtle crossing is the best she can come up with? Our water is making people sick with terminal illness, we are in a financial crisis and environmentally one of the worst in the country. Rather than deflecting on BS, why use your videos to inform the public of health risks and what’s really going on?
Her next video should be a thorough review in front of Ridgewood water highlighting how the ill health effects of PFAS in the water (drinking, bathing, swimming) will affect our residents over time. Then she could outline the thought process behind creating a playing field directly on the highway covered in toxic turf baking in the hot sun will be beneficial to health of the kiddies.

It is time to take your rose colored glasses off and see things for what they really are. You are dilusioned if you don’t think that everything she does is to promote herself. There is a seriously lack of self esteem here. Do this just because you truly do love the town, not because it satisfies your ego. If you truly care, then you don’t need a pat on the back every 5 minutes. I feel sorry for her because her level of self awareness and emotional intelligence are very low and I have been working in the field of personal development so I know this type of personality.

I called in to speak to the council last evening via their zoom access after hearing so much about Ridgewood’s controversial project, reading many articles highlighting the horrendous plans to ruin a historic property plans for yet another ballfield-I believe Ridgewood already has 17, putting a playing field directly on a major highway (thinking toxic fumes) and the fact that many residents who are concerned about their health are being blatantly disregarded. This situation is dire and heartbreaking especially after I leared that Ridgewood is actively engaged in a lawsuit (major and millions sueing companies for putting PFAS into Ridgewood water but yet have no problem simultaneously planning to cut hundreds of healthy trees on a historic property to create a over sized multi use sports field and think that this boils down to healthy open space when you would have children playing on a highway (think toxic fumes and toxic turf) is beneficial or healthy. This my friends, is a recipe for disaster. However and more importantly, as stated at the meeting, the familes living nearby with wells will end up with PFAS in their water. If you don’t have a conscience, then this a good plan. If you have a beating heart and soul do away with this horrible plan. I ask myself, how can this actually happen in this day and age and is this actually legal? When I came across this post I realized that this is the council member who seems to be a main driver in these bad decisions for this horrible plan, I felt the need to comment. As an elected official, she needs to make sure that her decisions benefit all residents in particular where health and the well being of all residents are at stake. I plan to spread the word to other municipalities, so that people see this hypocrisy that exists and perhaps Ridgewood won’t be on the list of go to destinations for shopping and dining if they don’t align with their own core values to be green and promote events like Earth Day or real sustainability because behind the scenes they are pushing for turf (plastic grass, eco or crumb rubber are all toxic and plastic always has PFAS) and to deforest a historic land. I plan to follow this project and plan to lobby when possible to the state and NJDEP so that they understand what is at stake.

Real problems are not being addressed, major dollars are being wasted and special interests seem to be the focus, except for the turtles unless we want to call them out for being a special interest group too. it is quite sad actually that a person can be quite happy with themselves all the while creating chaos.

I watched over youtube and this council member talked about how important it is to educate women and girls about domestic violence education. It even happened at village hall last year, I believe and her comment was simple “this was a low moment for Ridgewood” while no one on the council, the mayor, VM or attorney did anything. There are likely reasons why nothing was done, but that is probably another story for another day. Maybe education against any kind of violence or aggression should be provided to all residents, especially ones that have displayed this kind of behavior in the past. It is unacceptable on every level and quite shocking that it even happened in the first place.
