Mahwah NJ, some members of the Mahwah Police Department took the plunge to Seaside NJ to participate in the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge and had a blast. Our local is very involved in donating and participating in Special Olympics activities that range from the Polar Plunge to the SnowBowl flag football tournament at MetLife Stadium.

Up next for us is the SnowBowl tournament in March and we look forward to working hand in hand with @specialolympicsnj to continue the great charity work!
The Special Olympics is a global organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The organization’s mission extends beyond sports, aiming to foster confidence, teamwork, and joy among participants while challenging stereotypes and breaking down barriers for people with intellectual disabilities. Through its events and programs, the Special Olympics promotes social inclusion, health, and community engagement, advocating for a more inclusive society where everyone is accepted and celebrated for their abilities.
