Mahwah Streets Get a Patriotic Upgrade for America’s 250th Anniversary

Mahwah NJ, If you have driven past Veterans Park recently, you have likely noticed a vibrant, patriotic transformation on the local roadways.
In preparation for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, the Township of Mahwah has officially upgraded the streets surrounding the park with custom patriotic painting. The new look serves as a community tribute to the nation’s milestone anniversary and honors local veterans.
A Generous Local Donation Makes It Possible
The eye-catching street upgrades were made possible entirely through community generosity and local collaboration. The Township of Mahwah extended a special thank you to the key figures who stepped up to fund and execute the project:

Love it, more towns need to do this
This is the only thing that should be on our roads in our towns. Enough “rainbow”streets and flags already . Red, white and blue only!
Can Ridgewood do this over that rainbow on our streets we didn’t approve of.
I believe that some years ago Midland Park painted blue lines next to the yellow ones on some main streets (to honor the police department? not sure) and was forced to paint over them because it was against the law. I’m not positive, and the law may have changed. But anything likely to distract already-distracted motorists does seem like a bad idea. There are many other ways to honor groups.
