Mahwah NJ, Not sure if everyone knows, so I’m posting this on my personal Facebook page as an FYI:
The Mahwah Township Council will be holding a special in-person meeting on Wednesday June 9 at 7:00PM to discuss the permitting and/or prohibiting of six classes of recreational marijuana businesses in the Township of Mahwah. The six classes are: 1. cultivator, 2. manufacturer, 3. wholesaler, 4. distributor, 5. retailer, 6. delivery service
(The Township must adopt an ordinance by August 21, 2021 if it wishes to “opt-out” of any classes. If it does not “opt-out” then it will be deemed as having “opted-in” for the next five years. During that five-year period Classes 1 – 4 and 6 would be a permitted use in all industrial zones, and Class 5 would be a conditional use in all commercial or retail zones. If the Township wishes to “opt-in” to certain classes but specify the permitted zones/locations, it must adopt an ordinance setting forth such regulations by the August 21 deadline).
