Hoboken NJ, Monday Veolia Water officials say that crews have isolated a major water main break in Hoboken. The water company said that the crews were working to restore water pressure and it should be stabilizing throughout the city.
PSE&G crews on Monday damaged the main, located at Observer Highway and Madison Street, while doing work. This led to a massive water service issue throughout the city.
Hoboken University Medical Center was evacuated due to a lack of water pressure. Stevens Institute of Technology posted on Twitter that all classes will take place virtually on Wednesday, and that administrative offices will operation remotely through the rest of the week.
Hoboken remains under a state of emergency. City officials say that crews have been working around the clock to restore service.
