A special reminder Winter is coming and Ridewod residents , Per section 249-1 of the Village Code, all snow and/or ice must be removed from sidewalks abutting Village streets within 24 hours after a snow storm has ended. And, the snow and/or ice that you do remove may not be placed in the street so as to impede the flow of traffic.

  1. Some business owners in Ridgewood should read this.

  2. Not always, I clean up in front of my store but the problem is the town doesn’t remove the snow between the parking meters. So many people slip and fall going from the parking spot in the sidewalk. I’ve been on Oakstreet for 30 years,
    Thanks store owner

  3. My wife and I own a store on the main helping you in town and we pay contractors to remove the snow from the front door to the curb line. The problem is sometimes the village Will remove the snow between the meters to the road and sometimes they don’t, sometimes they just remove the snow on the main Avenue and not the sidestreets. I don’t get it, it’s either going to be part of your routine or it’s not I know many of my customers who park in the road and put money in the meter and try to get to the sidewalk they cannot and slip in for thank God no one got hurt, but it’s not the store owner to remove the snow in between

  4. Maybe remove the meeters then it would be much easier to clean the snow for the contractor. And for those tree planters they are nice but in the way
