Oakland NJ, a stabbing at Cafe L’Amore in Oakland on Thursday afternoon left one man hospitalized and another in police custody, according to authorities.
Incident Details
Police were called to the restaurant at 455 Ramapo Valley Road just before 3 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male who had been stabbed. The assailant had fled the scene, according to Jeff Angermeyer, deputy chief of detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Shortly after, Oakland police apprehended the suspect nearby. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

When contacted for comment, a Cafe L’Amore representative stated, “We don’t want to make any statements at this time.”
Ongoing Investigation
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit and the Oakland Police Department are actively investigating the case.
