Ridgewood NJ, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, had a bit of a scare after two rectory staff tested positive for COVID19 . Masses were temporally suspended , however all priests tested negative and mass was resumed .
from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chur website:
Dear Parishioners,
At 7:00 PM this evening, New Year’s Eve, I became aware that two members of the rectory household staff have tested positive for the virus. While I believe that the priests have had minimum contact with these employees, I believe it is prudent that the priests be tested and that we not pose a risk to anyone in the parish. Reluctantly, I am suspending all public worship in the church until the results of the testing becomes available, hopefully by early next week. It is my hope to livestream both the 11:00 AM and the 3:00 PM masses this weekend. Please join me in praying for the recovery of all who have tested positive.
Be well, be safe and God Bless,
Fr. Ron
FROM THE PASTOR – AN UPDATE
ALL THE PRIESTS HAVE TESTED NEGATIVE. DAILY MASS HAS RESUMED, AS NORMAL, EFFECTIVE TODAY, 1/4/2021
CONFESSIONS RESUME TONIGHT, 7:00 TO 7:30 PM THE RECTORY OFFICE IS STILL CLOSED TODAY AND WILL REOPEN TOMORROW.
THANKS FOR ALL THE GOOD WISHES.

Now all we gotta worry about are the parishioners ????!
Same very high risk as any other large gathering.
Riots (I mean necessary peaceful protests) are SAFE (even without masks).
Attending church is a super spreader event.
It’s settled science.
