Good luck to you, and don’t forget Add county and state waterways. So just maybe we don’t have the flooding like we just had.
Great list but need to know the action steps to execute each.
Please let me know how I can get involved in helping you campaign. Rykkent@gmail.com
exactly what we NEED from a village official. this is not easy work and sadly people are cruel so a big THAN YOU for running. you have my support
Let’s not forget Bergen county roads running through the village beard most of them need to be repaved.
Goffle Road,
Maple Avenue,
Franklin Avenue,
Doremus Avenue,
Godwin Avenue, coming from Midlandpark border.
Why is it taking so long. ??????
How does she plan to do all this? Good intentions alone don’t get it done.
Pershing is a mess too…
Don’t forget – Paul Vagianos own 5 properties in CBD/Ridgewood Downtown. His track record for all these years is just to benefit those five properties.
Hard pass.
“How does she plan to do all this? Good intentions alone don’t get it done.” You clearly don’t know Ms. Hooban. She’s one of the hardest workers I know and I have complete confidence she will listen to residents and give it her all. I think for the most part, The Vag, will be entirely focused on championing CBD issues and interests and to hell with the rest of the Village. That’s why Ms. Hooban gets all of my family’s votes.
Can anyone tell me why she was fired from the YMCA?
Can she remove Bigios? She is useless
Many would support if she would get the police to enforce the 25 MPH speed limit.
“Can anyone tell me why she was fired from the YMCA?”
Can you tell me why you feel this is relevant? Why not ask the YMCA? Oh, yeah, they are not going to tell you because this is a “personnel matter.”
why it is relevant that she was fired from her job, I think it is critical to know why a Ridgewood institution let her go.
After all, she wants a seat to help govern another Ridgewood institution.
A) none of our business and B) maybe take a look at the connections the Y has to who is running against her.
It’s Sedon all over again. Only I doubt melanie will go as quietly in to the dark night.
I don’t think it’s a secret and the word is that she was told to choose running for council or her job.
If what I’ve heard is true she was asked to leave the election and was told it was a conflict. I wonder who it was a conflict for and you should too. Hadn’t she been in council or planning board for years and years?
Im pretty sure what was done to her was illegal and I sure hope she’s addressing it as such. I think the only conflict isn’t going to be found anywhere we can see it.
Really appalling.
She’ll get things done.
YMCA was bullied by CBD developers and CBD landlords (?? Hint) to ask her to drop from the race. When she did not drop out, they fired her.
They are going to pay dearly for this.
Fired? I’m done. Next!
Here fixed that fer ya
Many would support if she would get
the police to enforcethe Village Council to rescind the 25 MPH speed limit.“Fired? I’m done. Next!”
Glad to hear that you won’t be going to the Y anymore. I. too, would not support a not-for-profit organization that dipped its toe into local politics and fired an employee who was running for office. A not-for-profit that gave in to political influencers. The shame and the irony of the Y firing a domestically abused single mother of five for running for office to better her children’s world. The same Y who runs the “Rainbow” program for kids who “are grieving family losses as result of a divorce … or abandonment …”
I am so glad to hear that you are over the Y and will be moving on. BRAVO!!!
Has the Ridgewood Blog endorsed candidates yet? and how many do we vote for in the school board?
Sample ballot indicates (in small type) how many votes can be cast in each race.
Based on web information, her opponent is a member of the Democratic Party. For me, this is a big red flag. See what currently happens to our beloved country.
I vote Hooban!
