Ridgewood  NJ, a majority of voters agree with a Republican senator’s denunciation of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure package that passed the Senate this week.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters agree with Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy’s statement: “They told us it was a real infrastructure bill. It’s not. Only 23% of the bill is real infrastructure. The rest is Green New Deal and welfare. They told us the bill was paid for. It isn’t. We’re going to have to borrow maybe up to $400 billion to pay for it.” That includes 36% who Strongly Agree with Kennedy. Forty-four percent (44%) of voters disagree with Kennedy’s quote, including 19% who Strongly Disagree. Another 15% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

  1. It is so unusual for folks to get what they wanted.

So I am happy for them, they actually voted for something and got what they wanted.

Keep those signs out on your lawns as you trumpet your good fortune and virtue.

  2. Hopefully we can get some of these county roads paved in the village.
    1- Ackerman Avenue.
    2- Franklin Avenue
    2- Maple Avenue
    4- Goffle Road
    They are in terrible shape.

  3. If anyone thinks the slush fund making its way through Washington will make its way to paving local roads, you need an appointment with a Psychiatrist.

  4. Most Voters know it is essentially theft of taxpayer money to fund a destructive agenda….but they won’t do anything and the oligarchy in Washington will continue on with business as usual.

As an added bonus dopes like those thinking this money will repave their streets will continue to vote these destructive people into office.

As an second bonus, the “street paving” dopes don’t realize that if they paid for the street paving themselves – out of pocket with their neighbors – they would save MORE money than what is being taken from them by the federal government.
