Ms. Knudsen and Mr. Sedon clearly do care about the Village

Fifteen years in town, with three children going through the schools, is not a newbie. Ms. Knudsen is vice chair of the Zoning Board and active on many fronts. Mr. Sedon wrote about Ridgewood for the Ridgewood News, learning more about the issues than 95% of longtime residents.

Mr. Albano has been busy “in the fields” but almost never voted in municipal elections and didn’t attend any meetings. Length of residency alone does not make a person knowledgeable.

The current mayor had lived in town for only a few years before joining the council. The difference is that he has never cared about the town or comprehended what used to make it great. He simply saw it as a steppingstone and continues to use it as such. In contrast, Ms. Knudsen and Mr. Sedon clearly do care.

  1. Well said!

  2. Very true!

  3. So let me get this straight: Michael Sedon is 32 years old and about a month ago, he and his wife welcomed a son into the world. They now have three children. So at that point, he quits his job to run for Village Council? What’s wrong with this picture? If that’s my daughter he’s married to, I’m more than a little concerned about his judgment.

    1. you omitted to mention the “scumbags”(quote from Lindsey Graham) or “Ridgewood coward low life” (my quote ) send his “pathetic loser boss”(my quote) and email trying to force him to resign . You need to get up to speed , unless you sent the email and are just playing dumb?

  4. #3 we are living in a new world today not the 1950’s.

He opted to disassociate himself with a corporation foolish enough to act on an anonymous e-mail before they had their facts straight. I call that excellent judgment. He’s got my vote.

  6. #3 your daughter unfortunately has YOU for a father, poor girl.

Mike Sedon is a fine man with the highest of standards. His wife is very, very lucky to have found such a wonderful husband and father for their children. His judgement is outstanding – he is not going to work for an employer who tried to force him to quit a run for Village Council in another state. Mike is now freelancing and no longer commuting to Staten Island, he is around for his children. All the right choices.

And he is certainly the right choice for Village Council. I cannot wait to see him on the dais. Sanity will finally rule.
