Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the Hermitage hosted the Glen Rock Pops on Saturday. It was a wonderful evening of music on the lawn of the great national landmark. Come visit us, tours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15 and Thursdays by appointment.

The Glen Rock Pops Orchestra was the brainchild of violinist, former English teacher, and Curriculum Coordinator at the Glen Rock Community School, Sue Johnsen.  She knew audiences wanted to hear popular music and light classics.  In 1975 Sue persuaded the Community School to add an orchestra to its curriculum, and the Pops was born.  The school’s support has been instrumental in our success for more than four decades.

The Pops has grown and flourished in partnership with the Glen Rock Community School.  The orchestra has become an important part of the borough’s cultural life.  Our volunteer musicians have diverse backgrounds, come from area communities, and combine their talents to thrill audiences throughout Bergen County and northern New Jersey.  Our Spring and Holiday concerts are broadcast on Glen Rock TV.
