On July 15, 1982, female human remains were found behind Cedar Ridge Cemetery on Highway 94 in Blairstown Township, Warren County. The female had been deceased for less than a week prior to being found and was believed to be between 15-20 years of age. She has remained unidentified for 40 years and has been referred to as “Princess Doe.”
In attendance at today’s press conference were members of the New Jersey State Police Cold Case Unit, Innovative Forensic Investigations, Mitotyping Technologies, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Laboratory Director Britton Morin and Analyst Frank Basile of the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Forensic Laboratory, and members of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
