Glen Rock NJ, The New Jersey Transit Police Department’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM), together with local, county, state and federal partners, will conduct a training exercise on Saturday, November 2nd at Glen Rock Main Line station beginning at 8 a.m.
The drill will simulate a mass casualty incident and will take approximately four hours to complete. This is a large-scale drill with more than 150 volunteers participating in the exercise.
Residents and customers are advised that they will see an increased presence of police and emergency personnel in the area of Main Street and Rock Road during the exercise. The exercise will be contained on board the train and the Main Line Station parking lot.
Important note: During the exercise, the eastbound platform at Glen Rock Main Line will be closed. Customers traveling to Hoboken will utilize the westbound platform for eastbound trains from 6am-12pm. Customers boarding at Glen Rock Main Line Station can purchase a ticket on the train without the $5 surcharge during this time.
The New Jersey Transit Police Department regularly conducts drills and training sessions simulating various transportation scenarios throughout the statewide system.
