The Ridgewood News
The Ridgewood Council has approved three bond ordinances and the appropriation of more than $5.7 million, a move that will allow several municipal departments to complete various capital expenses.
The governing body’s unanimous support of the three capital ordinances drew little opposition and question from residents at Wednesday’s council meeting.
Most of the groundwork and discussion leading up to this week’s vote took place over the course of several weeks this fall, when department heads presented their project wish lists to council members. The village manager’s office was then tasked to work with the separate departments to trim those lists and the associated costs.

well it’s about time. the fleet looks like a pile of old dumpy trucks. what a bad job of the top dogs in replacing them.
Now if they can only find workers who will get out of the trucks and take some pride in their work to do a good job and not just taking care of the “big stuff” and getting 90% of the job done.
================================
Also some reorganization is neede at the top.
Anyone who lets huge piles of leaves sit for 3 days on blind curves and major interrsections just doesn’t give a sh*t about the residents who pay him
================================
This attitude might fly in Patterson, but it (used to be) not tolerated in Ridgewood.
Now the workers and the management has no pride in their work and are only interested in doing the bare minumum and complaining about how hard they have it.
Worse yet, the residents are now largely apologists and settlers who are are willing to set the bar low and accept this level of “service” for their tax dollar.
=====================================
Quality is in the details and the workers are unwilling to provide it and the residents are unwilling to demand it.
to # 2 you need to get a life . my pile of leaves are just as big as the towns leaf piles. this sounds a bit fishy. stop you know who you are.
#3 you need to get some quality of life.
When the town workers push all of the leaves in the neighborhood into massive piles that take up more than 1/2 of the width of the street and then leave them there for 3 or 4 days its a problem.
1) They are not planning their workday
How about pushing 1/4 of the leaves in the neighborhood into piles and picking up those piles on the same day and then doing that over 4 days rather than spending all day pushing all of the leaves in the neighborhood into massive piles and then calling it quits at the end of the day and not coming back to pick up the road hazzard leaf piles until 3 or 4 days later.
2) It shows that they don’t give a sh*t about it
This is not surprising since the supervisors up to the village manager apparently is good with this behavior.
3) It shows no respect for the residents who pay their salaries, but again this is not surprising since today’s Ridgewood resident is happy to be taken advantage of.
