East Rutherford NJ, NJ State Police report that two people were fatally shot in the parking lot of Meadowlands Racetrack on Route 120 in East Rutherford late Sunday. Officials say one of the victims died at the scene and the other at the hospital.
New Jersey State Police say four people are in custody in connection to the incident.
Investigators say the shooting was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the general public. State Police have not released the identities of the victims.
An investigation into what led up to the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
I can’t believe that this is going on with the New Jersey State police have a barracks there. They’re all over the place like ants. I will say the race track laws a few cuckoo birds to that place.
