NJ Attorney General Platkin commented on the  overnight shooting of New Jersey State Trooper in Paterson:

“Overnight a member of the New Jersey State Police was shot while he was working to keep the residents of Paterson safe from the very same violence of which he is now a victim. My office and the entire New Jersey State Police family is keeping our trooper and his family in our thoughts and prayers as he receives treatment for his injuries today and we will continue to support them through his recovery. The brave troopers and officers of the New Jersey Law Enforcement community work tirelessly to make sure the people of New Jersey can go to work and live their lives free of gun violence – the same should be true for our brothers and sisters who wear blue. We remain steadfast in our commitment to end gun violence in our state.”

U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) also  commented on the shooting of a New Jersey State Trooper that occurred in his immediate neighborhood.

“Late last night, a law enforcement officer was shot on my street,” said Rep. Pascrell. “The state trooper was trying to protect our neighborhoods and keep them safe. My family and I pray for the officer’s quick recovery and for the perpetrators to be quickly apprehended. I am very happy my wife is all right. Right now I am rushing back from Washington to check in on my wife and my neighbors. I have been in close contact with our local and state police to make sense of what happened. Gun violence is a plague on America. If a shooting can happen on the street of a member of Congress, it can happen anywhere.”

  1. Paterson is a shithole
    The residents tolerate crime
Their offspring are the repeat offenders and violent criminals
    They tolerate drug dealing
    they dont like the police
    this is the result
I hope the officer recovers. thank you for your service
