Ridgewood NJ, NJ TRANSIT is honoring the brave men and women who are serving in the United States Armed Forces with complimentary rides throughout the system during Fleet Week 2023. Today through May 30, active-duty and reserve members of the military and National Guard ride for free on NJ TRANSIT while in uniform or by displaying a Military ID. Offering complimentary rides on NJ TRANSIT is a small gesture of our gratitude for their service and dedication.”
During Fleet Week and throughout the rest of the year, military dependents and retired military personnel can take advantage of discounted travel on NJ TRANSIT upon presenting their valid military or military-dependent ID cards. Veterans with service-connected disabilities may present a valid Veterans Affairs (VA) identification card which indicates “service connected” to use the one-way reduced ticket option. When purchasing a ticket from a ticket vending machine or through the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App, simply select Senior/Disabled to obtain the discounted fare. Tickets may also be purchased at ticket offices at stations.
